SBTSongs: Trailer Flowers
This week on Stories Behind the Songs we are joined by Brooke and Jack. From Missouri, they moved to Nashville individually, each with a different focus. Jack came to Nashville to pursue songwriting and Brooke came to be an artist on her own. They ended up meeting one another, living together, and shortly after, forming their country duo, Trailer Flowers.
With tight harmonies, an older country sound, and empowering lyrics, they have a unique edge in the country music world. You might have seen them on America’s Got Talent singing “Who You Are”, one they wrote to encourage listeners that they are enough. They released their first single in June of this year entitled “Daughter of a King”, available to stream anywhere you listen to music. Brooke and Jack have been able to touch several lives with their music. Their fans, which they refer to as “Flowers”, quickly grew through hearing their song “Daughter of a King” played live on America’s Got Talent and personally relating to the messages in their songs - messages of knowing your worth and believing that you are enough. Jack and Brooke say the goal of their music is to speak to at least one person.
In this episode, Jack and Brooke talk about fitting into an industry that is always changing and growing, balancing success with authenticity, and their next steps in music city. We cover the importance of knowing your “why” when it comes to creating music, understanding your worth within a competitive industry, and continuing to show up every single day… These girls are some of the most talented and genuine artists in Nashville.
